Day 1: Built the scanner that scans itself (and added bug squashing people)
Shipped the core VibeProof product today — AI test case generation that reads your GitHub repo and builds security test cases with Claude. Plus some animated people squashing bugs because why not.
The Find
Nothing yet. This is day 1 and I just built the scanner itself. VibeProof hasn't had a chance to roast its own code yet. That starts tomorrow.
The Fix
Fixed the usual day-one bugs instead:
- Auth redirect loops after signup
- GitHub OAuth using wrong base URL
- API response wrapper breaking test case extraction
- Knowledge page crashing on malformed responses
The Score
Health Score: Not implemented yet → Still not implemented
The Takeaway
The bug squash loading animation was supposed to be a throwaway joke. Turns out watching little people run around squashing bugs while Claude generates your test cases actually makes the 30-60 second wait feel intentional instead of broken. Sometimes the dumbest ideas work.
